Inspired by a trip done to Guadalajara Jalisco to an equestrian ranch, this  baby sheep were inquisitive and playful but cautious of their surrounding; they both adventured around and played the discovery game as long as mamma was at their sight and when they felt uneasy they will make a quick run by her side.

Los corderos simbolizan la gentileza, la inocencia y la pureza y eso fue exactamente lo que este trío me inspiró la primera vez que los vi jugando. Dos ovejas bebé / oveja pastando con ovejas Mamma Pintura en acrílica. Inspirados por un viaje realizado a Guadalajara Jalisco a un rancho ecuestre, estas dos  crías de ovejas  eran curiosas y juguetonas, pero cautelosas con su entorno; ambos se aventuraron y jugaron el juego de descubrimiento mientras mamá estaba a la vista y cuando se sintieran incómodos, correrían rápidamente a su lado.

Meeting Chester the cat … After getting outside my comfort zone.

Take whatever measure is necessary to impulse yourself and improve in your art …even if it means getting out of your comfort zone.

When it comes on creating art … I am the peculiar lonely wolf as I like and enjoy the solitude of my art studio.

A few artist colleagues faithfully gather for painting nights during the week; they had been doing this for quite some years now; the invitation to join them has been open every time … and every time for years I will find a singular excuse to sabotage my creative self by not attending.

This year I decided to joined them, Its a serious New Year resolution I had been postponed for quite a while. This year I decided its time; regardless the busy schedule, the art classes and workshops, family commitments and pet clients.

Harsh as might sound, the commitment is only with myself and how far I want to take it will be upon me.

And in the midst of all this and now my weekly painting time gatherings is where “Chester” the black cat was born this January 2018 on water color paper 140 lbs. Size 6” x9”.

Chester as he is now title, kept popping out on my watercolor paper every time I tried to sketch something else; I follow the flow instead and decided to just follow the contours of his silhouette and his face soon began to reveal itself as the watercolor painting ran through the paper fibers.

Painting freely …for oneself is not as easy as appears for an adult, I found more dynamic the fact to work on an art project deadline, art class curriculum or a commissioned art project. Painting for oneself as an artist which freely allows expressing feelings, ideas and thoughts on a canvas is invigorating and it’s also a healing process.

Sitting in front of that white canvas or white piece of watercolor paper its torture at times but it can be endured.

As long as I open my eyes to enjoy a new rising sun every morning, I will take the gift and … will keep trying.

Conociendo  al gato Chester ... Después de haber salido de mi zona de confort.

Tome usted  las medidas que sean necesarias para impulsarse y mejorar su arte ... incluso si eso significa salir de su zona de confort.

Cuando se trata de crear arte ... Soy el lobo solitario peculiar que gusta y disfruta de la soledad de mi estudio.

Algunos colegas artistas se reúnen fielmente para pintar una noche  durante la semana; ellos han estado  haciendo esto durante algunos años ya; la invitación para unirme a ellos ha estado abierta cada vez ... y cada vez durante años he encontrado  una excusa única para sabotear mi ser creativo al no asistir a pintar con ellos.

Este año decidí unirme al grupo de pintores de la semana, es una resolución seria de Año Nuevo que me había pospuesto durante ya  hace mucho tiempo pero nunca había tomado la iniciativa. Este año decidí que era el momento de hacerlo; independientemente del horario ocupado que tuviera, las clases de arte y talleres, compromisos familiares y demás.

Por difícil  que parezca aceptarlo, el compromiso es solo conmigo mismo y todo depende de mi de hasta dónde quiero llegar en mi progreso como pintora.

Y en medio de todo esto, y ahora en mis reuniones semanales de pintura, es donde nació "Chester", el gato negro, en enero de 2018, en papel de acuarela de 140 libras. Tamaño 6 "x9".

Chester como ahora es el título de esta pintura, seguía apareciendo en mi papel de acuarela cada vez que intentaba dibujar algo más; sin pelearlo mas, sigui el flujo y decidí seguir los contornos de su silueta y su rostro pronto comenzó a revelarse mientras la pintura de acuarela atravesaba las fibras de papel.

Pintar libremente ... para uno mismo no es tan fácil como parece, encontré más dinámico el hecho de trabajar en un plazo comisionado  del proyecto   de arte, un plan de estudios de clase de arte o un proyecto de arte comisionado. 

Pintar para uno mismo como artista que  se permite libremente expresar sentimientos, ideas y pensamientos en un lienzo es estimulante y también es un proceso de curación.

Sentada frente a ese lienzo blanco o papel de acuarela blanco, a veces es una tortura, pero puede ser la mejor decisión que he tomado en mi vida.

Mientras abra los ojos cada día  para disfrutar de un nuevo sol naciente cada mañana, tomaré el regalo y ... seguiré intentándolo.
